This vegetarian pinquito beans recipe is a simple way to prepare traditional pinquito beans using only a few ingredients. Use as a savory, protein-rich side dish or even as an addition to a green salad.
1. | Inspect the beans, removing any rocks or harvest fragments |
2. | In a colander, rinse beans thoroughly |
3. | Add water, beans and pinquito bean seasoning to tall pot |
4. | Stir to mix |
5. | Bring to a boil on medium-high heat |
6. | Reduce heat to simmer and cover |
7. | Stir every 15 minutes |
8. | Cook at least 2 hours; more is ok - the firm beans can not be overcooked |
